Happy Yorkshire Day!

Last Sunday I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a family I have been following on socials and Youtube for a long time! Mr & Mrs Yorkshire!

They recently extended their family with the lovely Parker being born, so I slipped into their DM's not expecting a reply... never mind actually booking in a session with them. When the lovely Sophie replied I actually did a little happy dance!

On shoot day, I cannot explain to you how nervous I was! From chatting to Sophie she asked for a Yorkshire theme with his photos being released on Yorkshire day. The night before I was in Meadowhall scouring the shelves for a little dog teddy hoping to find a Whippet or Greyhound, but alas there was none, so a Dachshund puppy teddy was my choice in the end. I also made little parker a little Yorkshire baby vest with heat transfer vinyl.

When they arrived I instantly felt so comfortable with them. Danny and Sophie are just the kindest people and little Athena made herself at home with my toys and books whilst I got to work wrapping little Parker for his first ever professional photoshoot!

The first set was my much loved Date and time basket with Parker wrapped in pale blue to match the Yorkshire flag and Athena even had a matching dress.

Athena is just the sweetest little girl and even though she is still little herself she did amazingly taking direction looking at the camera

Little Parker loved being all wrapped up and even gave us a couple of smiles!

Danny and Sophie love the US and they brought their Cowboy boots as props to use during their session so I obviously had to get my little Cowboy hat out for Parker. The dark wooden floor-drop I have looked amazing for him as well!

We also managed to get some Family photographs with them all in as well and rather than striving for perfection we decided just them as a Family is enough and we really showed their personalities within the images.

By the end as with a lot of Newborn photoshoots, Parker was a little restless so our final photos had his little dummy in as all he wanted was to cluster feed which is totally OK by me! A fed baby is a happy baby at the end of the day!

My sessions are totally Baby led so Parker was totally in charge of our schedule
